Implementing Lean Software Development @ Oxtremists

Had a thoroughly interesting book group session at the Oxtremists discussing various aspects of lean software development from the book Implementing Lean Software Development, while enjoying a pint or two in the Lamb and Flag, Oxford.

Implementing Lean Software Development

We were lucky enought to have the authors, Mary and Tom Poppendieck at the meeting, who happened to be visiting the UK consulting/training at the time, which made for a lively and very interesting discussion about agile. The general consensus seemed to be that the whole lean software development was a good thing, but impossible to implement without management buy-in. The Cornish bitter on tap was a plus too.
